Wojciech Chałupka is one of the most promising and awarded polish composers and
saxophonists of young generation.

As the young artist  he has been a prize winner of 60 different competitions.

His works have been performed in such venues as  the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein, Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre, David Josefowitz Recital Hall in London and in Germany, France, Thailand, Switzerland, Croatia, Canada and Lithuania.

For his outstanding achievements he was awarded the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship in 2021, 2019, 2018 and 2016.

Many outstanding musicians and ensembles have performed and interpreted his music. These include: Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, New Music Orchestra, Radom Chamber Orchestra, Duo Aliada, Zurich Saxophone Collective, Mobilis Saxophone Quartet, l'Ensemble de Saxophones de Versailles, Janusz Wawrowski, Klaudiusz Baran, Mateusz Krzyżowski, Andrzej Ciepliński, Pavel Efremov and Andreea Chira.  

He is a laureate of
1st prize at the  61st Tadeusz Baird
National Competition for Young Composer,

2nd prize at the 21st International Gustaw Mahler Composition Prize in Klagenfurt,

1st and 2nd prize at the 4th International Composers Competition Patri Patriae,

2nd prize and Audience Award at the 4th Krzysztof Penderecki International Composition Competition ARBORETUM, 

3rd prize at the 3rd Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy Composition Competition in Bangkok,

Honorable Distinction at the 3rd Krzysztof Penderecki International Competition for Young Composers in Cracow,

1st prize at the 4th Polish Composers Competition 'Moja(mi)nuta' in  Łódź. 

Wojciech is also a saxophonist.
He is a member of the Nemesis Saxophone Quartet, Warsaw Saxophone Orchestra and Fratres Duo.


As a soloist he has performed with the National Philharmonic ina Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prince's Salon Orchestra of the Książ Castle and the Warsaw String Orchestra of Zenon Brzewski.
